The Crabtree Society are proud to announce the launch of their new book on the 24th May 2012. The Crabtree Story, from its founding in Walsall in 1919.
This new book chronicles the history of J.A Crabtree and Co. Ltd - Walsalls' largest manufacturing company.
The book tells an amazing story of one of Britain's foremost electrical manufacturing companies, from the birth of John Ashworth Crabtree in 1886, his apprenticeship in Birmingham and starting the company bearing his name in Walsall in 1919.
The company now forms part of Electrium Sales Limited.
The Crabtree Society is a group of Crabtree Electrical ex-employees, formed in 2000.  The Societies enthusiasm and dedication to the book has produced the most detailed history of the company ever seen.
The project has been undertaken in their free time without any personal reward whatsoever. This is not a promotional book, it tells the story as it was.
